The grandest and oldest mansion in the village of Madhupur stood tall... high walls made of red bricks, where the marks of years of sun, rain, and wind were still alive. Green moss had collected on the walls, as if the mansion itself was telling its age. In the center of the mansion was a very large courtyard, where a very old Banyan tree stood. Its roots went so deep into the earth that it felt like the tree was the real owner, and the mansion above was just its umbrella. At night, the tree's branches spread out as if a large hand was holding the entire mansion in its grip. The villagers said that the souls of the old landlords resided in this tree, guarding the mansion at night. Sometimes, when the wind blew, the branches rustled as if they were the whispers of those spirits, and people would not even pass near the mansion out of fear.
